Meet the children (9)

T
he school in Eldoret now has 70 pupils and is set to grow to 100 with the arrival of boarders in January. This is the whole school in December 2009 gathered in front of the lovely new buildings, Five of these children already board at the school, including the three found abandoned after the 2008 troubles (see the previous page) and two other local children without family.

H
ere are the Lodwar children all receiving new shoes and jumpers. The shoes were rejects from an English factory which are doing a great job in meeting the needs of these children. The jumpers were lovingly hand-knitted by a group of older people in England who take an interest in the orphanage and seek the help where they can.
